Today I converted all my documents into PDF files and added them to the pages on the side. This blog is really turning into a portfolio now! However, I feel like my old-fashioned, papers-in-a-binder portfolio is being left in the dust. In EPS 100, it was stressed that bringing a portfolio into an interview is very important- should I be maintaining both portfolios, or somehow incorporating my online portfolio into the paper one? I won’t be job-searching for another 3 years, so maybe by then online portfolios will be the norm and I can come prepared with a URL. Any thoughts?
I also did some work on my final project, although much of what I’ve been doing is not yet apparent on the site. I’ve been researching, and I’ve found many good sources; however, I have yet to find any good local resources or examples of technology being used in physical education. If anyone knows of anything relevant, I’d love to hear about it. As always, I’d love any feedback on the site.

Good question April. I am wondering the same thing. If you have an online portfolio do you need a paper copy? In EADM 310 last semester, a guest speaker mentioned the online portfolio as useful because you can send the link before the interview. Not sure about paper copy though. Would you still bring a paper copy if you sent the online copy? Maybe if you can’t include something online because it has students’ photos…or something like that.

Thanks for the reminder about the portfolio in EPS 100. I also noticed that you had added some of your tasks from that class to your online portfolio as well. Thanks for the idea! I hope you don’t mind that if I borrow the suggestion. As for the two portfolios, I think that for this point in time both are relevant and can be used equally so both probably can shadow each other and be kept up to date together kind of like one. You never know if an employer will want to look at the actual portfolio in person, or surf it online. A computer may not always be available or discussed properly in person, but at the same time a portfolio on paper is tending to be old finished with the technology available today. Either or I wish you up and thanks again for the heads up! Your site always seems to have given me a lot of help this semester for ideas. You are always ahead of the game and outgoing both in class and in your work, which is great to see from a future teacher.
